So is the retainer just a way in to selling us software?
The retainer is the business. One ongoing relationship, month to month, cancel any time. Building is a big part of it, one fix at a time on whatever's slowing you down most, but so is keeping you and your team ahead. We'd rather keep a company for years than sell one big project and start again.
How big is "one fix"?

Is it just building?

Isn't the point that eventually we don't need you?
